Ursprüngliches Ziel der Tour war Budapest. Diese musste allerdings in Passau abgebrochen werden. Nichtsdestotrotz waren bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt bereits 1402 km in 12 Tagen absolviert – und Deutschland war Fußballweltmeister geworden. Die Radtour startete in Marsberg. Vom Sauerland aus ging es in Richtung Lahn. Weiter am Fluss entlang bis zur Mündung in den Rhein. Den Rhein flussaufwärts bis kurz hinter Basel. Von dort eine kurze Strecke mit dem Zug bis Tuttlingen. Ab dort bis Passau auf dem Donau-Radweg.

The original destination of the tour was Budapest. However, this had to be canceled in Passau.
